The Real Miss Texas

Shelbi Massaratti

You made the music. Now it needs movement. Shelbi helps independent rappers turn scattered releases, random shows and inconsistent promotion into a focused campaign—without cleaning the personality out of the artist.

01 / The Work

Your music is only one part of the move.

A strong record is the beginning. Shelbi helps connect the music to direction, presentation, relationships, bookings, promotion and the follow-through that keeps a release moving.

01

Artist Direction

Career priorities, honest feedback, accountability and a practical plan for rappers who have talent but need structure around it.

02

Release Rollouts

Campaign timing, single selection, content planning, promotional sequencing and the follow-through needed after the song drops.

03

Shows & Booking

Venue outreach, support-slot strategy, appearance coordination and relationship-driven opportunities that put artists in the right rooms.

04

Brand & Content

Artist positioning, copywriting, ghostwriting, visual direction, promotional materials and a public image people can recognize quickly.

05

Features & Network

Collaboration strategy, event planning, media opportunities and introductions where the artist, timing and relationship actually make sense.

06

Business & Follow-Through

Contract-aware organization, clearer expectations, documentation and professional communication informed by formal paralegal training.

Contract-aware coordination is business support, not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney.

02 / Where Artists Start

Every artist starts with the music. Shelbi helps build what comes next.

A rapper may come in with one strong single, a growing local following or a catalog that never had the right rollout. Shelbi starts with what is already there, identifies the strongest next move and helps build the presentation, promotion, bookings and relationships around it.

Build Your Next Move
01
Start with the record

Find the songs that represent the artist best and deserve a real push.

02
Shape the identity

Make the sound, image and message feel connected without changing who the artist is.

03
Move with a plan

Connect releases to content, promotion, shows and consistent follow-through.

04
Grow the right audience

Build momentum through the right rooms, relationships and opportunities for that stage of the career.

03 / About

Built in the culture. Trained for the business.

Shelbi Johnson-Wakefield, professionally known as Shelbi Massaratti and “The Real Miss Texas,” is a San Antonio-based artist manager, promoter and the force behind Plattinum Management.

She knows the gap between making a record and building a career—and works in the space between the two.

Her entertainment work dates to 2001 and spans artist management, booking, promotion, live events, independent music, broadcasting, brand development and practical artist advocacy. The through-line is not celebrity proximity; it is an ability to build relationships, create momentum and keep the work moving.

Her A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies from San Antonio College adds a contract-aware business perspective uncommon in grassroots entertainment management. That training sits beside years of hands-on experience in promotion, communications, event logistics and independent creative work.

04 / Plattinum Management

Independent, not improvised.

Plattinum Management helps independent rappers bring structure to the creative process—turning songs, ideas and early momentum into a clearer plan for releases, presentation, shows and long-term growth.

01
Direction before noiseClarify the artist, the audience and the immediate objective before spending energy everywhere.
02
Relationships with contextConnections matter only when the artist is prepared, the fit is real and the follow-through is professional.
03
Visibility that compoundsBuild promotion around releases, appearances and a recognizable identity rather than isolated bursts of attention.

She knows the pressure because she has released music too.

Her own records and media work are not the main offer. They are evidence that she understands rollout pressure, public presentation and the collision between the creative and business sides.

“Lolli Pop”

The 2021 single featuring Hakeem Kydavii put Shelbi in the artist’s position—not only the manager’s. That matters because release pressure, promotion fatigue and public presentation look different when you have personally carried them.
